Our goal this year is to serve 150 families, representing 400 kids, which equals 800 presents. Since every present is worth $25 our financial goal is to raise $20,000! There are two ways you can help us reach that goal. The first is to give to the Christmas Store fund. Every cent donated will go toward purchasing presents.

If you’d like to physically buy/drop off gifts, you can buy gifts for kids 0-18 worth $25 (no less, and not too much more please!). Below is a link to suggested gifts. Please drop them off at The Porch Church by December 1, 2024.

We are looking for volunteers to help serve at the Christmas Store as personal shoppers, gift wrappers, and a variety of other roles. We are also getting word of this event to spread outside our walls, so feel to share this with your workplace, your neighborhood, and to anyone else who might be interested.

about the store

Each Christmas thousands of parents and guardians in our community who are struggling financially are forced to make a choice between paying the bills and expenses of day-to-day life and providing Christmas presents for their kids. The Christmas Store gives parents and guardians struggling with this financial anxiety the opportunity to buy presents for their kids at a highly reduced cost. Parents and guardians who sign up for a time slot at the store are able to shop through a collection of gifts that have been sorted by age. Each gift is worth $25 or more and is available for purchase at $5 each.

This year the Christmas Store is happening on December 7, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

  • We want parents and guardians to be their family’s hero on Christmas. By participating in both shopping and paying for the gifts, families are able to retain their dignity in the process of providing gifts for their kids.

  • We are looking for gifts for boys and girls ages 0-18, so most gifts $25 or more are great! If you’re not sure what to buy we’ve created an Amazon Wishlist. You can buy directly from this list and the gifts will be sent to the Christmas Store or you can use the list to brainstorm ideas as you shop yourself. For older kids, gift cards for Starbucks/iTunes/Amazon are perfect! Drop the gifts off at The Porch Church no later than December 4.

  • Many organizations find contributing financially is the ideal way to get involved with the Christmas Store. Giving can be as simple as making an online donation. A gift of just $150 empowers one family to provide their children with a magical Christmas. Think of the power of a $1,500 or $3,000 financial contribution!

  • Our church is committed to following the path of Jesus, who went out of his way to love the outcast, marginalized, rejected, and under-resourced. Our commitment to the Christmas Store flows out of our belief that we as a church are called to bring God’s way of doing things to this world.
